Gloves up story line (changes)

Starting with a black background and queuing the music to create affect also queuing the titles to create the tense/dramatic opening scene.

Based in the modern day of 2011 two young contenders go head to head in a title match. A UFC match with for the title... who will win? Will it be points or a knockout? All will be found out!!

Zee ' The Madman' Machete - The Heavyweight champion of the world holding the title for a total of 6 years has been challenged for his record by Chris 'Ground & Pound' Taylor! Zee being 35 years of age accepted the challenging and has currently gone into a months of hardcore UFC training! He plans to win the fight and keep his title for the remaining of his career.

Chris 'Ground & Pound' Taylor - The new man on the scene not loosing a fight yet has been training hard for the last 20 years since he was a young boy preparing for an opportunity like this. Known for his dirty fighting Zee 'The Madman' Machete will be teaching him some lessons of UFC cage fighting

Seeing the two men in training tells me that this is gonna be a clash of the titan fight. One man Chris Taylor in 'Lions Gym' Hillfields home to the world champion kick boxer Sunny 'Hitman' Hira has had a rough upbringing but has a strong world class team to back him up and i am sure his belt will be placed on the wall in the gym for every body to see it when he wins.

The Gracie Barra UFC cage fighting academy based in London makes this an all British world class fight possibly drawing thousands/millions of viewers. With Zee being born in the area and watching the academy grow stronger and stronger he became a member at the gym at the age of just 16 and has been since in training and paid off as he hold the title for 6 years. With him having Gracie Barra himself pass down every little bit of skill he knows to Zee he will be using all he can against the young Chris Taylor.

The big day set to be on the 11th November will be an eye raising event, bringing a lot of money and fame to the team that wins. This will improve the clubs appearance.

Synopsis

The film starts with the 2 fighters training ( so basically a training montage) and then both the fighters get interviews about the fight, when one of the reporters asks Chris how he got into UFC he replies well it all started off when i was a little boy. This is where the scene switches to Chris as a young boy with the title 20 years before underneath. The film starts with Chris as a boy and tells the story of a poor abused child . How he gets bullied in school, goes from home to home, then gets into a fight one day with someone who tried to take his necklace his farther gave him before he went to war. He gets spotted by Spenser a trainer who sees potential and starts to train him. He reaches 18 and turns professional starts fights, gets to a level where he is competing with the best. At 26 he gets a title shot with Zee the world champion. Both fighters train hard and then get to the fight day where it all goes down..... The end of the film itself is the opening sequence, because our opening sequence is the fighters training and getting interviewed for the fight but then it goes to the scene of Chris as a kid, to show how he got to this point.!

Open sequence Gloves up - changes

Scene fades in with Zee Played by Junuz jogging up the street, the scene is slowed down with music playing in the background " chase and status, let you go  " Title's run across the bottom. The next scene is Chris played by "Luke" lifting weights. The scenes keep switching from Junuz training, back to Luke training and this is a repeated pattern.  For 1 minute and 20 seconds. The Next scene will switch to a press conference where both the fighters get interviewed. this is where the speech will come in. The last 20 seconds of the opening sequence will be an interviewer asking Chris how he got into UFC, then he replies well it all started when i was a little boy... as he says this the scene switches to him as a youngster sitting on a side walk. with the tittle at the bottom, 20 years before. and then it ends with the cover (gloves up) appearing.

MoodBoard

This is a mood board for the topic we are dong. The topic is UFC cage fighting, so as you can see we have the fighters, the ring, the title, the referee and the ring girl. Also what comes with the UFC title, the training the sportsmanship, No pain No gain, the equipment. All different images and features on the mood board build UFC atmosphere.

The Dreamers (Virgin media shorts)

This is a short film (02:20) which is basically about dreams, it starts of with husband and wife in bed, then the woman gets up (looks as if she is sleep walking) she takes a trip through the whole city (Belgrade, Serbia) while being followed by her husband. She meets up with another man and they share a kiss together. She walks off and her husband asks her questions (in Serbian) ;

Man: Vanja, come back to bed, where are you going
Woman: To bed
Man: Your scaring me, what are you doing?
Woman: I'm dreaming
Man: Of what
Woman: My first kiss
Man: Of what
Woman: My first kiss
Then there is a silence and it ends.

This is my favorite because at the start you are unsure of what is happening and it engages you to carry on watching. It takes you on a journey as you are watching a journey take place on screen.  With the beautiful music playing in the background and the atmosphere it sets, it is very hard to take your eyes of the screen. As i am from eastern Europe myself (Serbia) i can understand what they are saying and for me personally it creates a better atmosphere if you can understand the speech and not have to look at the sub titles to understand what they are saying. The music is also very, calm and relaxing. It sets the whole tone of the film.

It is filmed In Belgrade Serbia by the looks of it. Belgrade is the capital. and for them to make a film in the capital with no people about adds more to the film. As in the scenes you can only see the main characters. No passers by, no crowds. This is because it is filmed late into the night. And this being a low budget film, is very special that they were able to do this.
